steps to practice this sport
1 Get a snorkel and a mask with which you feel comfortable. Try them on and adjust the strips until it fits. If you can, try them in the water and make sure there are no leaks.
If you wear glasses, consider getting a mask with measure so you can see underwater.
2 Put on the mask and adjust the strips until the area around the eyes and nose feels comfortably sealed. Make sure the snorkel tube is near your mouth, but don't put it on yet
3 Lie on the water upside down. Put your face on the water at a 45 degree angle.
4 Gently bite the snorkel nozzle. Let your lips seal it and keep the snorkel in place.
5 inhale and exhale slowly and regularly through the tube. Breathe slowly, deeply and carefully through your mouth through the snorkel. You don't have to panic: you will always have the chance to lift your head from the water if you want. Just relax and be aware of your breaths. You should clearly perceive the sound of your breathing through snorkeling. When you are familiar with the rhythm, relax and enjoy the underwater landscapes.
6 Put on a vest to float. So you can float on the surface of the water with minimal effort and it will be easier. In many commercial areas for snorkeling it is mandatory to wear a life jacket of a striking color for safety reasons.
